Designer Bio: Paul Spurgeon is noted as one of the modern innovators in British jewellery design and within the industry is often quoted as the ‘Goldsmiths’ Goldsmith’ – he has twice been voted the UK Jewellery Designer of the Year and has won a host of other awards. Paul’s work is hand carved to precision, beautifully balanced, finished to perfection these are characteristics that make the Paul Spurgeon’s work recognizable. We very successfully launched at jewellery and watch 2016 as a standalone collection and have not looked back. Our jewellery is contemporary, stylish and affordable as well as being superbly manufactured. Bold and timeless design is at the heart of our collection. We have a range of beautiful classic designs to striking sculptural pieces for the more brave and daring of styles - it is jewellery perfect for every occasion. Each piece is designed and every master hand carved by Paul Spurgeon who is noted as one of the modern innovators of British jewellery design. All pieces are sterling silver and rhodium plated for easy care. We use a range of 18ct rose and yellow gold plating as well as black rhodium. We are known for adding our signature contrasting satin and polished finishes throughout our collections. Alongside the UK brand and with generous donations from the UK jewellery trade, Paul set up a workshop in South Africa offering mentoring in hand-making and business skills needed in the jewellery industry. The aim of the project is to offer employment to marginalised individuals in South Africa which now has given employment to three individuals. The project is to be run by the people for the people; they have their own collection designed by Paul for the African market. In support of the project we recently launched the Hope collection where all profits we make go directly to help the people involved. We are excited to be exhibiting at Inhorgenta Munich 2017 for the first time to explore the European market possibilities as well as returning to Jewellery and Watch and International Jewellery London. We are a member of the National Association of Jewellers and are currently a guest supplier for the Company of Master Jewellers and hope to become an official supplier next year.
